Tradition be damned… do it your way! So cool that D WANTS to be involved. My hubby? Tried to act interested but couldn’t have cared less what the dresses looked like until the day of and he saw me in it.

And on that note, I think the old wives tale just pertains to him seeing you IN the dress before the wedding, not seeing the dress itself. So tell them all to have a big ‘ole cup a shut-the-hell-up!

There's one thing that people seemed to forget when it comes to weddings (and sometimes other events). IT'S YOURS. Not theirs. Like D, I was involved in every damn aspect, nook and cranny. I didn't see my wife in her dress until the day but I saw a picture of it.

By the way, if I didn't say it before, congrats to you and D.

Good grief, what a load of traditional CRAP! You do it your way, girl, stick to your guns!!! There is NOTHING wrong with him seeing your dress, they just wanted your money.

When mom and I don’t agree I just announce that the subject is over and move on. She knows I’m stubborn. If I say a topic is over, don’t try and continue or your head will come off…

What did D have to say about all that? I’m assuming you two discussed your weekend…

I just thought it was bad luck for the man to see you IN the dress before the wedding. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with him looking at the dress.
